With immense pride we would like to share our very first News from Native California television spot. The short video, which was produced by FNX|First Nations Experience and showcases the beauty of Native California. The News‘ Crew, Lindsie Bear, Vince Medina, and Analisa Tripp worked very hard in going through archives to showcase the vastness of News from Native California‘s past issues, Vince went around with his iPhone and recorded some of his friends speaking in several California Indian languages including Nomlaki, Bodega Miwok, Pomo, Karuk, Chochenyo, Hupa, Kumeyaay, Ventureño Chumash, and Luiseño. Ras K’dee graciously shared his roundhouse music as our background music. It was a wonderful experience and we are utterly proud and grateful. A major “thank you” to the fantastic Terria Smith from FNX for leading an effort to make this television spot a reality.
