SUMMARY:ívaqîú·í by Subversive Verses
DESCRIPTION:Subversive Verses is stoked to bring you the second gathering in our live poetry reading series. If you haven’t heard of them yet\, they are a collective of California Native women centering the dynamic voices of our community and celebrating the strength of Indigenous emotion through art\, music\, and poetry. \nFor the summer season\, the group will bring you ívaqîú·í. In the Cahuilla language\, ívaqîú·í translates to “becoming strong.” And with everything that the world has been through in these recent months – seeing attacks on collective rights as human beings as well as against collective lands – everyone has had to draw on our strength as Indigenous Peoples. The group invites you to join them as they share\, grow\, and heal together in their traditional summer homelands of Idyllwild. \nLook for updates on insta @subversive_verses \nAudiowild Studios\, 54240 Ridgeview Dr\, Idyllwild-Pine Cove\, CA 92549
