DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, April 18\, 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.\nTickets $100\n(includes supplies\, instruction\, and boxed lunch) \nLearn more about native plants and their traditional uses\, past and present\, with Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Tribal Member Dr. Sean Milanovich. This workshop includes guided hands-on identification practice in the Education Garden and additional plant talks in the Education Classroom. Participants will learn how to use a few plants for food\, games\, and fun\, such as significant trees and plants like the palm (mául). Participants will also learn about the processes of making traditional foods like acorn soup (hépal)\, acorn mush (wíwis)\, mesquite cookies\, agave (ámul)\, and at the end\, enjoy tasting foods and sharing stories.
