DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 12\, 2024 | 7:00 pm–8:15 pm \nJoin the college for a screening and panel with directors Lorene Sisquoc\, Blossom Maciel\, Daisy Ocampo Diaz\, and Rosie Aranda. \nMt. Rubidoux\, a sacred mountain located in Riverside\, California\, overlooks the Santa Ana River bend. This mountain is an iconic Riverside landmark and includes a three-mile recreational trail that reaches upward of 1\,000 visitors a day. Monuments and plaques on Mt. Rubidoux centers on settler colonial history. \nThrough engagement with tribal communities\, this documentary seeks to present the voices of culture bearers to highlight Native Peoples perspectives on how this is a sacred space.
