Free Screening of “Pá’čapa: A Mt. Rubidoux”

July 5 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Mt. Rubidoux is an iconic Riverside landmark. Over a thousand people visit the site every day, and monuments and plaques describe the settlers’ colonial history. This mountain, however, was and remains a sacred Native place. Through local Native perspectives (Serrano, Cahuilla, and Tongva) and the voices of culture bearers, this documentary highlights the heritage of this important place.

Before the screening, documentary director Rosy Aranda will discuss the making of the film and will answer your questions about this fascinating subject.
