California Native American Day Celebration
September 28 @ 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural Center is hosting their first annual Native American Day Celebration on September 28th, 2024 from 11am to 4pm at the Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural Center and Old Town Gazebo in Eureka, Ca. Their intention is to grow this event into an annual celebration and fundraiser for the Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural Center. There will be cultural presentations by the Lhatsik Hou moulu’l (“House of Tradition” = Cultural Department) and the Shawir Darradaluduk (“We belong outside” = Natural Resources Deparment), live music, and community!
They are inviting Native American crafters, artists, and artisans to table at the craft fair located around the Old Town Gazebo and sell their goods. If you are interested in tabling with your craft goods, please fill out a vendor application form found on the Da Gou Rou Louwi’ Cultural Center page of the Wiyot Tribe’s website. For any questions about the event, please contact the cultural center manager, Jazzmin Fontenot at jfontenot@wiyot.us or by phone at (707) 798-1949 x301.
