California Truth & Healing Council

Join the California Truth & Healing Council for its December 2023 Quarterly Meeting in San Diego County! Please note that pre-registration is not required to attend, but we will be sending out parking and other logistical information through Eventbrite.

Quarterly Meetings are intended to be a facilitated space for California Native Americans to talk, process and heal while also providing an opportunity for the Council to hear presentations of historical findings, evidence, outcomes and experiences of local California Native Americans.

This page will be updated as we finalize the agenda. This meeting will be fully in-person with no hybrid option (recording will be posted afterwards).

All-Subcommittee Meeting

Thursday – December 14, 2023

1:00PM – 4:00PM

  • LOCATION: Museum of US, 1350 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101
  • This is an opportunity for subcommittee members and those that are interested in joining a subcommittee to meet with other members in the region.
  • Current Open Subcommittees include: Education; Elders; Persons with Disabilities; Status and Identity; Urban Communities; and Youth Council. If you are interested in joining a subcommittee of the Council please sign up here.

Quarterly Meeting Day 2

Saturday – December 16, 2023

10:00AM – 5:00PM

  • LOCATION: Manzanita Ramada, 138 Manzanita Road, Boulevard, CA 91905
  • Outdoor meeting – please wear appropriate shoes & bring a jacket. The meeting will be moved indoors if it rains.

All in-person attendees will be required to adhere to each venue’s COVID-19 protocols.

All attendees, regardless of vaccination status, are asked to not attend in-person if you or anyone in your household:

  • Are sick or showing symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms include coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, fever or chills, muscle or body aches, vomiting or diarrhea, and a new loss of sense of smell or taste.
  • Have come into contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive.
  • Have been tested and are awaiting results.
  • Have received a positive COVID-19 test.

Attendees unable to attend in-person will be provided a link for virtual participation if available.

Please note: You must adhere to the Principles for Respectful Meetings when attending convenings (virtual or in-person) of the Council or engaging with the work of the Council. A copy of the Principles can be found here.
