Please join Casa Culebra and Xochicalli-House of Flowers: IndigeQueer Medicine & Healing for this collaborative community event featuring IndigeQueer medicine carriers, healing practitioners, and artists, who will share their thoughts on the questions:

What is IndigeQueer medicine? What do we bring to our culture, our people, our artforms, and how do IndigeQueer culture bearers affect change in our communities through our medicina?

This event will include song offerings by the Wakan Wiya Two Spirit Drum, as well as an altar honoring our IndigeQueer ancestors and transcestors.

IndigeQueer Panelists:

Lidia Ruelo Salazar, queer herbalist, healing practitioner, and community organizer with roots in Mexican Curanderismo, Ticiyotl, and western herbal training. Founder of Tierra Rituals

Amelia Vigil, Two Spirit Xicana poet and performance artist, community organizer and advocate, and fund development visionary with Picuris Pueblo and P’urhépecha heritage. Former Board member and Interim Executive Director with Bay Area American Indian Two Spirits (BAAITS)

M. Zamora, IndigeQueer Drumkeeper with the Wakan Wiya Two Spirit Drum, ceremonial singer, feminist educator and community organizer, of Xicana, Tongva and Yaqui roots. Program Director with Xochicalli-House of Flowers: IndigeQueer Medicine & Healing.
