Native Arts Expo 9

October 24 - October 25

A world where tradition meets innovation, where stories are woven into every brushstroke, bead, and rhythm. The Native Arts Expo is a vibrant celebration of indigenous creativity like no other.

The Native Arts Expo is an artistic celebration of the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions of Indigenous communities. The event is for the public and showcases the incredible creativity and talent of Indigenous artists from across the nation and provides a platform for them to share their stories, traditions, and perspectives with the wider community.

Emerging and Professional artists of Indigenous art and culture, come to a place where people of all backgrounds can come together to learn, share, and appreciate the incredible beauty and creativity of Native art curated by Eric Wilder.

The Mendocino Art Center resides on the unceded territory of the coastal Pomo people. We recognize that the colonization of this land has caused great harm to Pomo people and other Indigenous peoples, and that the Mendocino Art Center has benefited from this harm.

We seek to be better guests on this land, and are working to build better relationships with our Indigenous neighbors and Indigenous visitors from beyond this region.
