Join an afternoon of education and reflection during the screenings of People of the West episode “The American Dream.”
People of the West (@peopleofthewestseries) explores California’s past through Native voices across ten episodes. Through Indigenous testimony, archival records, and cinematic dramatization, “The American Dream” reveals how the U.S. federal policy of Termination fractured communities, forced relocation to urban centers, and deepened poverty and instability for thousands of Native families — while also tracing the persistence of resistance by tribal leaders, organizers, and families.
Entry is free with paid museum admission or membership. Advanced registration is required.
