Winter Gathering: Water & Baskets

January 23 @ 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to attend the Tribal EcoRestoration Alliance’s Winter Gathering, all about Water and Baskets. Lake County is the home of California’s oldest natural lake, Clear Lake, and some of the best basketweavers in the world. Learn about the deep connection between water, plants, and basketry during this one of a kind gathering!

Date: Friday January 23, 2026
Time: 12:30-5 PM
Location: Upper Lake, CA

Gatherings will include:
Local instructors and dynamic ecological activities
Community feedback sessions
Transportation support for elders
Gifts for those who participate in feedback sessions
Dinner provided after the workshop

These gatherings will be held at the TERA Training Center on the Traditional lands of Robinson Rancheria, Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians, and Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake. We are grateful to Redwood Region RISE (RRRISE – Resilient, Inclusive, Sustainable Economy) for supporting the production of this gathering. RRRISE is part of the California Jobs First initiative, a state-funded effort to create inclusive, sustainable economies across California.
