Form Huchiun to Mauna Kea: Building Solidarity Across the Pacific

October 6, 2023 @ 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

A new art exhibit is coming to UC Berkeley! From Huchiun to Mauna Kea: Building Solidarity Across the Pacific brings together indigenous rights movements from California and Hawaii and their connections to Berkeley. Join our opening event for the opportunity to add to the exhibit with an art build. Visit the exhibit to learn about your role as a student in protecting Indigenous rights and fighting land grabbing!

We are excited to host Niria Alicia, a Xicana environmental and Indigenous rights activist in the Bay Area as a guest speaker at our opening event. We will also have a student-led teach-in about the Thirty Meter Telescope and Indigenous resistance to its development, as well as a community art build!
