California Indian Spoken Word
Last Friday night was a party here at the office at News from Native California! We co-hosted (along with AICLS) our first California Indian Spoken Word! Strings of lights illuminated the night as lovely people sung, told stories, shared poetry and experiences in indigenous California languages. A feast of traditional California foods was prepared, as Walan Amana’s wonderful live music filled the atmosphere. Thank you to all who attended, to all those who shared. We sense a second event in the future
